Artist History No Moons for Mercury was formed in the summer of 2001. They have gone through quite a bit of adversity, but they feel that that only makes them stronger. "I think we have gone through over 6 band names and 10 members since Brian and I have been involved in music," drummer Mark Busnelli says. "It was just hard for us [Brian and Mark] to find people with the same passion and drive as we had," he continues "I think we finally have that now." Although they are still developing their sound, they are well on their way. They play what they like with that ranging from acoustic tunes to emo core songs to in your face rock n roll. With everyone in the group listening to differenet genres of music, they really bring an ecletic taste when they come together to write new songs." There really isn't one set way to write," explains guitar player Dave Crow. "Sometimes its Mark coming up with a cool beat, Brian with a tight riff, or Steve with a bass part. Or we just jam something out, or it comes from lyrics that we write." Although there is no perfect formula on how to write cool songs...NMFM has certainly made there way into heartfelt and emotional song writing. Their music is catchy and singable. They not only have good lyrics, but the music is catchy and cutting edge. They know that none of this would be possible without the favor of God. Although they are not a "christian" band, they are born-again Christians in a band. While some people may not understand this, they will happily explain it to you. "Every band has something that they preach," says guitarist Brian Drew. "We do not want the normal stereotype that comes with being a 'Christian' band. We want to show the world that we are just like them but we have a reason for living. There are a lot of dead end roads in this world, we just want to help people find the right way to go."
