Artist History
Originally formed in the summer of 2000, Brad and Doug started playing together in Brad's basement. Shortly thereafter, they recruited the drumming skills of Matt Libman and they called themselves False Accusations. Shortly after forming, Matt quit and Brad and Doug were left without a drummer and in need of a lead singer...
(Actually, the story goes, in the summer of 2000, Dave and Pete were thinkin of ways to get girls, so they decided to start jammin in Pete's basement. the First songs they ever played were "Wonderful" and "Strawberry" by Everclear and "Wounded" by Third Eye Blind. Back then they sounded like the works of Bonjovi and Richie Sambora...falling down the stairs...but they soon realized that 2 man bands are hard, and some more help would be needed. They decided to get assistance from some new "high school kids" ...ok thats my story you may continue Brad)
...They called upon their friend Dave DaRosa to sing and try and recruit a drummer. Then, in early August, after a month of trying to find a time to practice, the band was formed with Dave singing, Brad playing bass, Doug on lead guitar, and Pete Sarata playing drums. After tossing around several names including the Long range- Hard Hitting Smokeless Shotgun shells, they setteled on a name that nobody really liked: Straightforward. They played for over a year with bands like ALLWAYS GROUNDED and SCASTIC*9. They even released a 4 song demo in April 2001.
When the fall of 2001 came along, Doug was doing a side project and quit/fired from the band. The three remaining members still stuck together to form a band they call DUGOUT. Their music sounds like, well were not sure, Dave is kinda out of the whole punk, i guess you call it Pop/Rock/Punk with a twist of Dolphins doing jumping jacks.
