    Artist History
The first thing that you'll notice about New Jersey-based rock quartet Audiot is lead singer Brian Axton's striking voice, then the catchy melodies of the songs and the impressive musicianship backing them up. Audiot's sound has been compared to everything from hard blues to modern rock. But while no one seems to hear the same thing, everyone agrees - they like what they hear. Audiot recently completed their much anticipated album, The Do-It-Yourself Home Lobotomy Kit, which is the follow up to their 2001 release The Hues. Songs from The Hues and The Lobotomy Kit have received airplay on WYSP (Philadelphia), WTHK (Trenton,NJ), WCHR (Manahawken, NJ), WUVT (Blacksburg, VA), WBCC (Burlington, NJ) in the US and internationally on 95FM University Radio Rock (Brazil), and been featured in television and films such as Leaf Productions Skimboarding Video "Five Pounds Lighter 2" and Idiom Productions "Desicions." They draw on modern rock, blues and jazz influences to compliment lyrics touching philosophy, detachment and universal love with sarcasm and cynicism. This album is overflowing with great hooks, strong vocals and exceptional songwriting power backed by a fierce rhythm section. Their live show is a musical marathon second to none! Audiot has performed at such venues as Conduit (Trenton, NJ), Pontiac Grill (Philadelphia, PA), The Lion's Den (NYC), The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), Tropicana (Atlantic City, NJ), Grape Street Pub (Philadelphia, PA), and Doc Watson's (Philadelphia, PA). Whether electric or acoustic, the band delivers creativity with soul. Audiot is one of those rare bands that comes along and defies tradition by refusing to be categorized. Audiot is playing and sending the message that their style of rock music is powerful and ready to bring rock back to the forefront of music today. So if you only see one concert this year, make it the Audiot experience. So much more than a rock band!

    Press Reviews
"...It'll shake ya the way Gawd intended ya to be shook." - Al Muzer The Aquarian Weekly Vol. 2-112 (Nov.14-21, 2001) "...an outstanding rock band...strongly recommended listening." - The Honest Truth-San Francisco, CA Audiot has a blend of different sounds...mostly drenched in good classic rock formula roots. Blues rock that reminds me of the early 70's...Deep Purple, Zeppelin, Budgie...the good stuff. Most of it is hard rock numbers with good melodic bluesy lead vocals that are very strong...excellent front voice. Tons of hard boogie blues guitar leads that can be compared to the sounds of Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix with a little jazz flash...blazing. Good tight group of musicians during the crucial moments. The drums and bass are locked in a tight groove the whole time like clockwork...good and tight and a solid foundation. The songs themselves are all heavy rock, but there is some swelling moments of climax from mellower sounding parts. The changes remind me kind of like something Mammoth Volume would come up with. Fans of classic Stoner Rock will like this. It's all average hard rock song length and can be liked by fans of lots of tons of different bands. Reminds me of the same kind of stuff you might here The Rubes pull out...strong vocal songs...melodies and harmonies that are beautiful. It's not just your average re-hash stuff even though the riffs are quite classic influenced...it's got a good natural vibe that makes it more, well unique. File between Budgie and Sabbath or Monster Magnet and Mammoth Volume...you decide. -Rob Wrong (StonerRock.com) 12/01
