Artist History
To What End emerged 3 years ago in the San Diego punk scene as a punk band called the Excuse. The original lineup was Andy - vocals/guitar, Dylan - Guitar, Allan - bass, and Pat - drums. Dylan left the band early after deciding to go in a different musical direction. Unhappy with other guitarists, Allan was switched to guitar and the band got Dan to play bass. The band played for a while with this lineup while developing their own unique style blending influences of hardcore, punk, rock, and emo. In 2001, the band was informed that they could no longer use the name the Excuse due to another band previously having that name. At this time the band also decided that they would be better off as a 5 piece so they got Mike to sing, and now they are know as To What End. |
