Artist History Putty started in 1835. Through many rises and falls they continue to rock today. Original line-up was Shawn (vocals, guitar), Chris (bass) and Ben (drums). Marky joined in early 1903 as a second guitarist. Keyboard Player joined shortly before Mark, quit and rejoined. Chris left over musical differences in 1928. He was replaced by Jon. They soon recruited manager Faron Crush who hired Kathy Endtime as a singer, which lasted until 1931 at which time she was voted out of the band after Keyboard Player rejoined and quit again. Band broke up completely in 1977 and all said members left music behind. Reformed in mid-1978 (without the services of Faron Crush) to promote a greatest hits package and a new single, "Grounding The Manhood". In early 1980, Shawn left the band to play with Chris in the legendary folk group Once Upon A Stool and was replaced by Sylas of the band Flaming Turds. Keyboard Player has rejoined and quit several times since. Out of print albums include "Sister Gladys Is On The Rag", "Little Chopped Up Whores", Chris Carr's Big Fat Ugly Ho-down" and "Greatest Hits". Sylas and Ben recently kicked Marky and Jon out of the band and toured as a duo. They have since rehired them after ugly legal problems resulting from a contract signed in the mid-seventies. They are allegedly working on a new album. SIDE NOTE: Kathy Endtime has recorded 3 solo albums with limited success. Mark recorded with Corky Shithead and the Wonder-bra Twins. Jon recorded a controversial solo album of dance-pop which has not been released. Keyboard Player has been unable to finish an album, or project of any nature, largely due to psychological problems, most notably his split personalities. He is currently involved in litigation over the unauthorized publication of his diaries.
