Artist description
in what ever genre I feel. I don't like being put in a box or package. Although I have done alright over the years as a player in bands and a single artist, if I was in it for the money I would quit today. Music is not a way to make a living it is living. I think what's important in a song is the message, and the musician is a vehicle for the message.

Press Reviews
"John has excellent songs with feeling. Great folk song with a rock edge. Good job."
"For Nothin" has some nice guitar playing. However, it is the vocals that enhance this track. They are strong and clear throughout. This track has a good feel, and would make great party music. Keep it up!
John Garza has the voice of a folk-rock/alt-country singer/songwriter troubadour writing from the heart. This is roots music with a fine retro feel that recalls vocals by Gordon Lightfoot jamming with Neil Young, Seals & Krofts, Three Dog Night and the best of 70s AM Gold. Check out his “For Nothin” where he craftily quotes Dylan’s ‘Mr.Tamborine Man’, and the Beatles’ ‘Come Together’ as background harmonies to an account of his music influences/listening experiences. My only criticism here is the genre labeled as World/Fusion?? Nah, this is a Classic Pop/Rock tune, and that’s not a bad thing! Also check out “I Don’t Give A Damn”, “One Armed Girl”, “Cutsy Wutsy”, …hell…fans of this style should check out ALL John Garza’s tracks, as he is consistent in his writing. -=peace+light=- -lanceKC- http://www.mp3.com/zygoteproductions zygoteproductions@onebox.com
