Artist History Call 14 is a four piece pop-punk/ melodic-punk band that started in the summer of 2000, based in Chester, NY. The original members, Tom, Lauren and Paul, met when they all shared the same job at a record store. Not meaning to do too much with it, they got together to just have fun, but something clicked, and the first few songs were written. Soon after they added another guitarist, Matt, to help thicken the sound, and bring in more influences. Through more talk than actual playing, their popularity grew causing them to find a way to let people actually hear their music, so they hit the studio. The first recording of Call 14 shows all the elements the band encompasses: Paul's melodic, driving bass lines; Matt's solos and leads; Lauren's fast, steady rhythm, and Tom's insane drumming. Call 14 then hit the public playing show after show and selling their 7-song EP, titled "Anti-Rob". After a couple years together, they have parted ways with Matt. The foundation for the band remains and there’s a new line-up which is ready to spread the word that Call 14 is better than ever. The addition of a new guitarist, Disney, has broadened their horizons and expanded the band's sound. In 2002, they went back into the studio and recorded a 3-song demo, sampling some of their newest material. The stage is set, the world has patiently waited, and through all the hardships they have endured, its Call 14's time.
