Artist History
Alright, so I (Kyle De Young) am the one setting
up this site, but the music does not go entirely
to my credit. A long, long time ago (1997 to be
exact), a band was formed by four guys in high
school with little more than a dream. Yeah, anyway
it consisted of me (Kyle De Young), Justin Messerschmidt,
Adam Oberman, and Jeff Gargas. We called ourselves Track 5.
We put a demo CD together with four songs on it.
The disc is straight and to the point. We're proud of
it. It was recorded in the summer of '99.
Then three of us went to college (Adam is graduating
high school this year). So, that was that. In the
summer of 2001 I recorded an all acoustic album of
six songs under the alias of Karlos because I
didn't like the way my name looked printed out.
The CD was entitled "Sing." I had some help
recording it. Justin of Track 5 joined me on
"somewhere else" and "13" on guitar, Jeff Gargas
(now of Remedy)played bongos on "drama," and
Michael Reeb of Seventy Two Others played the
djembe on "13." Although many of the recordings
could still use some polishing, I was pleased with
the results. Now, I am using my real name and playing
alone because I have no friends. However, I am
enjoying myself, so that's good. |
