Music Style Metalcore

Artist History Starting in the middle of eleventh grade, Kennedy, Justin, and Doug, current members of Burning Winter Sky, were in a band by the name of Wikom. There were bands before this that consisted of one or two of the members but they only lasted a little while and never had any shows. Wikom was a four piece hardcore band that only played one show. The band didn't last too long because of musical differences between the band members. A few months passed by and three of the former members of Wikom went on to make another band by the name of Point System. This band was a bit more in depth than the first band by contributing hardcore with a melodic emotional side and also by adding another singer. This band flew off in a matter of months by gaining fans from all over Charleston. Point System played with bands such as Bloodjinn, Brothers Keeper, Destro, 13 PFP, Most Precious Blood, Holden Caufield, Transitor Indiana, Lauren Hospital, Eyes Upon Seperation, and many more local and out of state bands. Through the months as the band continued playing shows, it was harder and harder for them to come up with new material because of constant back to back shows every weekend. They decided to take a break from playing shows in order to write new material but thus getting nowhere and eventually breaking up. Once again, months passed by and Justin and Doug sat down and began serisouly talking about creating another band. After more talking went by they came up with a line up to create the band and then comming up with a style of music to play. They then called around and got the old drummer from Wikom, Kennedy, and one of the singers from Point System, Evan, to join the band. The only problem that stood in their way was finding a bass player sutible for playing their style. They thought of different people to ask but with no luck. Until finally they thought to ask one of their friends to play. He had no previous skills in playing music but had wanted to try for a long time. The rest of the band gave him the chance he wanted and the band began to write. This took off like no other by completing two songs in the first practice and then a thrid song on their second practice. With this type of devotion to the band and with members who have a bond shared that is stronger than brothers Burning Winter Sky should have no problem finding their peace in the local hardcore scene.
