    Artist History
As veterans of highly successful south Texas acts including Lung Overcoat, Thirteen, and Lowdown Son, the Robots are no strangers to the music world. Their debut Album, "Baby, Baby, Baby, We're All Doomed", painstakingly constructed over a two year span, is the aural affirmation of pop music's ability to be as sophisticated as any symphony. A complex web of ancient synthesizers, echoey guitars, distorted samples, and abstract piano runs mesh seamlessly with pounding floor toms and bizarre bass lines. Combined with a stage show of eerie film loops, spastic slide projectors, and the occasional pyrotechnic display, Robot Boy makes instant converts out of the most casual of listeners. They manage to keep audiences pondering the eternal questing, "Is this rock?" But the Robots are more interested in experiment than rock glory. They preach the gospel of the over educated hipster, lying about his age and yearning for the pallid glow of the authentic Esquivel cocktail party.
