Artist description
Put Tom Waits, Neil Finn, a piano and a tape
recorder in a room and your result is Lo-Fi Stefan. By aligning the acoustic instrumentation and
improvisational elements of jazz and bluegrass, the
far-reaching lyrical themes of A-list folk, and the
"in your face" attitude of pop/rock with his distinct vocal style
and air-tight awareness of song structure, Stefan has discovered a
celestial sound custom built for Triple-A radio.
His intrepid traveling of the American highways and byways, his voracious reading habit, and two patient ears dedicated
to listening to almost anyone or thing constitute the cornerstone of
quality in Stefan's writing!

Artist History
Stefan entered the Tower of Learning in Saginaw, Michigan; was Jazz edumacated in the streets of Charleston, South
Carolina; was branded songwriter by the Berklee College of
Music in Boston, and called Nashville home from
April of 2001 until October of 2002. He moved to Nashville to absorb the
community's boundless spirit for writing, which helped
him continue to create a solid catalog of songs based on traditional forms
and structures. He has returned to Charleston, SC to establish roots, a live rock n' roll outfit and to tear the roof off the sucka'.
And although Stefan is currently pushing elevator buttons
down in the lobby of the music industry's ivory tower, look for him to be bellowing triumphantly from a
rooftop near you in the months and years to come... |
