Artist History SBG is a CHRISTIAN Rock/Funk band from the "Milwaukee-ish" area of Wisconsin. We have been "jamming for Jesus" for over 8 years, playing shows from Greenbay, WI to Nashville, TN. Our music is undeniably Christian in content. No watered down Christianity here, just straight forward Jesus lovin' music! JOEY - The man behind the beret! Joey is from the Burlington, WI area. He is a singer/songwriter with quite an impressive home studio set up! Contact him if you have a CD project in the making. Joey holds down the majority of the lead vocal responsiblities and plays the acoustic guitar and percussion instruments. He attends a WELS church in Burlington. MIKE P. - The man in the band with rhythm. Mike is also from the Burlington area. He plays the drums in SBG and a sweet looking set they are! Mike attends a non-denominational Church in the Burlington area where he does extensive work with the praise team. KURTIS Q PUBLIC - Just back from hunting snipe in Bangledesh, born on a fishing boat off the coast of Peru (not really...) Kurt is from Milwaukee, WI. He plays lead guitar and does some back up vocals. Kurt attends an Apostolic church in the Milwaukee area where he participates in the occasional praise team special performances. GINA BANDEENA - The Harley ridin' guitarist of SBG! Gina also shares the lead vocal responsibilities with Joe. She attends a non-denominational church in the Waukesha, WI area. MIKEY R. - Gina's, much taller, other half. (you guessed it they're married...) Mike holds down the low end on a "smashing" Ibanez Bass and does his share of Harley riding too! (and he goes to church with Gina, of course!) MISSION STATEMENT... "Our mission statement starts with the root phrase of what we are... A Christian - Band... This means we are CHRISTIANS first and foremost and the band is the tool by which we portray the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The main point of an SBG show is not to entertain as much as it is to portray how much fun and excitement is involved in being a Christian. If you happen to walk away feeling entertained well that's great! But if you walk away from an SBG show with nothing more than a deeper love for our Lord and Savior THEN we have achieved our goal! Don't get me wrong, we can keep an audience up and having a blast but it's when we talk about HIM that the true meaning of what we do and WHO we do it for shines through." THE TRIVIALITIES... (under construction) SBG has state of the art recordings, and a professional light and sound system. We have played all sizes of venues from contemporary church services and coffee houses to fairs and larger auditoriums. We also have a love of good coffee and chips and salsa!
