    Artist description
Paul Headon's Sirius Music is a new name on the Ambient Music stage, but it has been many years coming! Paul Headon's vision for music has been evolving through almost 20 years of experimentation and learning. Although classically trained on piano and theory his real love is with the composition of synthesized music. The joining together of such a myriad amount of sounds is really a composers dream come true! "Music must go beyond just the ears, it must enter the heart and lift the soul!" Paul was once quoted as saying. Paul's use of the synthesizers has a refreshing uniqueness, particularly in the way in which the music is phrased: "I think of composing as an artist views a blank canvas, but instead of using paint, I use sound! All the different sounds available to me can only come, in my opinion, from something as diverse as a synthesizer! All those tonal colours at my disposal! Adding here, taking away there! I love to create melodies within melodies and then add shadows to enhance this concept, the reason for this is simple; every song has to have a sense of freedom and spirit."

    Artist History
MUSIC AS A MEDITATIVE HEALING FORCE: "If you can somehow go beyond just hearing what is being played and truly FEEL the music then what your doing is using beautiful sounds as a meditative release. This will make a far greater impact on the listener's life and well being." ON A PERSONAL STYLE OF COMPOSING : "I'm not sure that what I do is so unique, however it is MY style and I am very happy with that. A good friend, who's views on music I respect, once said that this music is a cross between Pink Floyd and Vangelis ( with a little Kraftwork thrown in)!! That is pretty good company to be compared with!" On "THE MIDDLE DISTANCE" you have much variation. The title is from an expression used by artists to describe not the foreground, nor the background, but what lies in between. In other words, a metaphor for what we call Life! The entire album was composed with the mind's well being as it's principle source of inspiration. Music is one of the very few things in this world that is capable of such an achievement. You listen -You either like it or you don't, and it's as simple as that !! You remember it and it stays with you.

    Press Reviews
" this music is a cross between Pink Floyd and Vangelis ( with a little Kraftwork thrown in)!! " - Mark 'Radar' Watson, reviewer and columnist ... It isn't really "world music" or "relaxation" or any of the other recently coined genres, it has something of a unique quality all its own. There are trace elements of lots of things woven into the music, but as a stand alone product it just has to be called "unique" ... - Narrell Brown - JAYBEES ENTERTAINMENT ... An alternative to Prozac, It certainly works for me ... - Jeffrey ... Eastern interpretations of life suggest there is a middle way and it would seem Paul Headon would hope his CD could be used as a tool to help you get there. Wherever it is you're travelling and in whichever way you choose to do it, CD's like Headon's attempt to clarify it for you, or at least make the transition an easy one..... bridging the Mike Oldfield come Tony O'Connor gap, which almost sounds like new age elevator musak... - Arianne Lewis, Tertangala
