Artist description
As one of North Carolina's youngest and up-rising
bands, Sarcasm has begun a revolution in the music
industry. For many of the bands out there that all
sounded the same (i.e. mainstream bands) which made
Sarcasm decide to be different and to stand out
from the crowd. So as the band has accomplished
this, their quote "Sarcasm music is for everyone!"
is quite suitable. A pefect example of this would
be Corallie Gines. This young could only and would
only listen to rap (I shudder at the thought).
But as her fellow friends from Sarcasm introduced
her to their music (which took many long and
exhausting hours), she began to like it and now
she loves it. Just goes to show you that this band
can make a believer out of anyone. Nough' said.

Artist History
Here is the whole history behind Sarcasm!
The history of the band began in the Summmer of
2001 with Enigma: Brian Rey (Guitarist/Singer)
being the guitarist/singer and RJ Griggs (Bassist)
being the drummer (with another guitarist named
Matt Lacenere that didn't help too much) but that
band was quickly over with after a couple weeks of
terrible sound. Peter's first band was a Lynard
Skynard kind of sounding band called American Flat
with Peter (drums) on drums and Nathan Farmer as
guitarist and Casey High also as guitarist, but
was also destroyed after a short while. Brian then
moved on to a thrash/metal band called Apathy
(with Matt Lacenere, Jacob Ward, and Matt Traynham)
which he did not admire much. Earlier that
school year RJ had met Peter and had learned that
he had played drums and that he was learning to
play bass. RJ and Peter then decided to put
together a band in which RJ played drums, Peter
played bass, and they invited Brandon Davis to
play guitar. Quote from RJ, "Yeah, We had no name
but we were okay. We had only about one or two
practices and then Brandon quit. He said he'd
rather go out and skate so the band ended right
there." RJ and Peter remained guitar player less
for about a couple of weeks. The month of
September, 2001 RJ and Peter decided for Brian
to play guitar with them, but with Peter playing
drums, Brian as rythem guitar, and RJ as lead
guitar. A couple of weeks later the band agreed
on RJ playing bass guitar. From then on and the
trio has been rockin' the fans ever since. |
