Raul Costa (bass)
Pedro Dias (vocals and guitar)
Fátima Alves (synths)
Nuno Conceiçăo (guitar solo)
e later Miguel "Caveirinha" (drums)
After 2 years of work in studio, Invoke recorded a demo-tape called "Where the foreland becomes holy ground" at Hipolab Studio.
Followed several performances, for their first time in a live concert (in a festival) at the pavilion of games in Carcavelos, through the James Academy Guitar in November of 1998.
Right after and within the same month, Invoke perform for their second time in Almada with another band (Impurity).
In the end of the same year, the guitar solo Nuno withdraw from Invoke for personal reasons.
Invoke, proceds with their live concerts until the May of 1999 when the new guitar solo, Sandro Marinho, steps in.
After a short intermission, Invoke returned to the live performances.
In the summer of 2000, Invoke recorded a new cd called " From Within... " at Dark-Studio. After the recordind the band suffers the most significant changes, in December of 2000 the drummer Miguel "Caveirinha" leaves Invoke, for personal reasons. And in June of 2001 the bass player, Raul
Costa, also leaves, for musical divergencies. Coinciding with this withdraw steps in a new drummer, Sérgio Pires, and the new synths player, Bruno Lázaro (ex-Dogma).
These two new elements, caused some changes in the general sound of Invoke.
In September of 2001, Sandro (solo guitar) leaves Invoke and enters Victor Figueiredo to the bass.
With the following constitution, the band prepares a new demo:
Pedro Dias (vocals and guitars)
Fátima Alves (synths)
Bruno Lázaro (synths)
Sérgio Pires (drums)
Victor Figueiredo (bass)
On January & February 2002, Invoke recorded the second demo-cd "Looking Through Me" with seven original tracks, one of them is an instrumental track. This demo has two special participations: Lavínia Roseiro (from Dispatch Note) as the always present feminine voice and Ruben (from Gwydion) as the secondary masculine voice, on Fallacy.
On September 2002, Raul Rita steps in as lead guitar.
