Press Reviews
Oi!/skin punk dominates this and although it's a genre lots of bands do, this one is pretty strong, with all the requisite lyrics about crushing the swastika wearing boot stompers before they crush you, being backed into a corner by the man, blah, blah, blah. Deep hoarse vocals by Orlando who used to be in Special Forces. There is a Special Forces cover here, and since this record is done by people involved in one of the better old skin bands around, I'll give it the a-okay. But please, enough from you other pretenders.
Shredding Paper #5
Overall-just as with many of his previous efforts-Orlando X delivers the goods with his solid new band, Intrepid AAF. This is fucking great aggro streetpunk with a bit of a hardcore edge. The first track, "S.O.S.", is good, "Common Man" is catchy and tuff...but the extra bonus is Special Forces? "Make the Leaders Fight"-is a fucking excellent fists-in-the-air punk rock 'n roll.
Hit List #6 (Jan/Feb '00)
WOW! They pulled out all the stops on this release. Killer fucking sleeve art, a great big INTREPID sticker, and most important of all, good music. The Ox is back with a new band that takes the UNITED BLOOD sound to the next level, minus founding UNITED BLOOD member, Ric Ficra. One of Ric's songs do appear however, as does one by Bill Collins, who started the Ox's first band, SPECIAL FORCES. INTREPID executes all of this with a tight sound that shows they're definetely ready for battle. If you miss this, you suck.
