Press Reviews
Corn 'Zine
Holden Caulfield "The Art Of Burning Bridges" (Surprise Attack)
I'm biased, I know. I admit that. But I'm the only person who'd probably review it for Corn 'Zine, so let's get to it. This EP (all four songs of it) is a HUGE step forward from their previous album. Tighter with less punk rock stylings. Little bit of something here for various moods you might have; songs about having fun and breaking things ('Set Phazers To Kill'), songs about backstabbing and morons ('Blindsided' and 'Sorry About Last Night') and the highlight track; 'Drag The River', which picks up where 'Northern California Nightmare' (from their previous album: "The Beginning of Forever and Ever") left off. Hell you've even got 123 Thuglife Anti-Mullet Hardcore, GO! madman Joe Klug contributing vocals (on 'Set Phazers To Kill'). Oh, and if you are like me and you were around for the days when the Charleston scene took up residence in the departed Common Grounds, then make sure you check out the hidden track. I won't ruin the surprise for you, but you'll be pleasantly surprised. (JE)
