Artist History
Happy Camper was formed way back in 1999, but not really. I know that doesn't make sense but I will explain. Mike and Preston were to metal heads who were hanging around and listening to Korn, and Ac/dc. So Mike started playing guitar with Preston while he played the drums. They wrote one song, and they sucked. One day they said "Hey that cool kid, doesn't he play guitar?" So they told Vaughn to get his Grandpa's bass and come and jam with them, he sucked at bass, so they kinda stopped playing for awhile. Then Mike met Kalen one day, and Kalen played bass, so Mike talked Preston into letting Kalen play with them. All of a sudden Mike, and Kalen were infused with Punk rock. It took some time for them to create a sound, but since then the world will never be the same. The three got Vaughn back playing guitar, and the four of them decided on Happy Camper. They wrote some songs like Misled and Blind, and did a bunch of punk covers. The kids around school loved them, so the band went on a band trip, and played in Saskatoon , and Moose Jaw( but without Von because he wasn't in school band) , This was just the beginning for these boys. Since then Happy Camper has played a load of shows with some great bands and plan on heading back to the studio to record a full length shortly. |
