Artist History The World We Made was formed initially in the fall of 2000 with Stefan on bass, Dylan on guitar, Graham on drums, and a different singer, Derek. A few shows were played under the name “Yesterday’s Gone”. After Derek left to play in another band, Marek joined as the new singer. This was approximately the fall of 2001. Then things got serious, in the forms of writing new songs and focusing the direction of the lyrical content. The ideas we try to convey as a band are just as, if not more important to us as the actual music. The members of this band have wide-ranging political involvement, from participation at the WTO protests to tabling punk/hardcore shows with animal rights literature. All the members of this band met in high school, became friends, and have been ever since. On the road or at home, we enjoy dumpstering, shoplifting, and writing graffiti on trains and other things. One day we hope to go camping together. Future plans include a summer of 2002 west coast tour and the release of a full-length album. Immediately following our summer tour, Dylan will be attending college and Graham will be moving. Because of this, The World We Made will be breaking up. Until that time, we will remain committed to putting one hundred percent into our music and our message. UPDATE 8/23/02 - We have had to cut our summer tour short due to Dylan having a reocurring throat infection. The tour was crazy and fun and now we will all be moving on to new things. Thank you.UPDATE 1/5/03-The World We Made has reformed over winter break, with marek moving to drums and jonah and jonathan and pretty much everyone else joining the band on vocals . An incredible show was played at the switch house in west seattle a few days ago, and more shows and possibly an EP are in the works before the end of break.
