Artist History
Drew aka "The Big Beat Theory" has been writing music since he was 12 years old. He originally learned to play guitar in hopes that it would get him laid. It never did. After being in a string of "metal hair bands" in the late 80s, and grunge alternative bands in the early 90's during college, Drew decided to learn piano inspired by the works of Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan. This would set the stage for what was to come. Fastforward to 1999. Drew goes to his first rave at The Glasshouse in Pasadena and takes his first hit of ecstacy. That one experience would forever change the course of his life. "After that night, all I wanted to do was create the music that was mysteriously moving me." Over the course of the next three years, Drew slowly purchased equipment and gained skill and knowledge in the art of Trance to develope the sound you hear today. |

Press Reviews
This is how a Press Review would sound like if I was famous enough:
The Big Beat Theory is electronica with a soul. In an anonymous genre such as trance, Drew aka The Big Beat Theory has a distinct sound that is identifiable anywhere. One just needs to listen to the erotic middle eastern undertones of "The Rise and Fall of Kings", or basque in the feel good melodies of "To Breathe, to Feel, to Know I'm Alive" to understand. In a world of repeatative mindless arrangements of electronic noises, The Big Beat Theory is a dynamic everchanging progression of meticulously placed melodies and sounds. Treat your ears and mind to the new sound of electronica and listen to The Big Beat Theory. |
