Artist History Adam Lamar grew up in the piney wood of east Texas in a town know as Nacogdoches. He spent many years there developing his musical abilities. Church services, high scool banquets, state fairs, anything that would let him in. After a couple of years in a band with some college friends, Adam left for Ft. Worth. There he palyed solo gigs again and recorded two 4 song demo cd's. After two and a half years of hauling gear for bands and no bites on his own demos, Adam moved back to east Texas to start Jonas Wheatfield (or The Movement, as it was later called) with some long time friends. Nine months and two new band members later, adam left Texas for the cold winters of southern Ohio. After a few months the winter grew too cold and Adam grew too homesick to stay. It was then that he realized he should be doing country music. Not this pop crap comming out of most of Nashville, but REAL country music. Back to the roots. You can only write songs about sexy tractors and line dances for so long until you have to kill yourself. There's just no other way to make pennance for sins like that. So now armed with a book of originals and a slew of covers, Adam headed off to Nashville to prove that ten times out of ten, good music is better than crap.
