Artist description
Trip Phoenix is a multi-talented singer/songwriter/actor...He says he's a Starchild from the Orion Galaxy who came to Earth to spread the message of Universal Consciousness, hoping to enlight anyone who happens to be around him with insightful lyrics and supercool music. It's mainly guitar driven killer riff rock, when it's not chill-out mellow spacey acoustic or psychedelic musings. Some call it Trippy Glam Rock, but Trip calls it "21st Century Trip Pock for the Cosmically Conscious"...Yeah Baby!!! |

Artist History
This is the latest leg of the ongoing voyage of Trip Phoenix. It started in the late '80s with the release of thye single "Taking no chances" with the band Mystery Cousins. British Producer/Engineer Paul Northfield (Who has worked with Rush, Men Without Hats, Hole, Queensryche, and others) took a shine to Trip and worked with his new band Medicine Men. This resulted in the album entitled "Keepers of the Sacred Fire", released through BMG and produced by Richard Gottehrer (Lou Reed, Joan Armatrading, Gogos). Shortly thereafter- during the same time as David Bowie - The band left the label and Trip formed two new bands, Brother Sun and Tripsonic. New-York based Tripsonic performed live frequently, including venues in the States and in Canada. In early 2002 Trip went to Milan,Italy where he completed work on his new album, Space Age Superstar. Which brings us to the present with Trip returning to his Canadian roots and making Toronto his new home. Since then Trip has started acting in Film and TV and been busy performing in the local Toronto rock scene with his new band, notably at the North by Northeast 2003 music festival and conference to rave reviews. Give this CD a listen and I'm sure you'll agree! |
