Artist History Playing guitar since age 13, Chris Allen is always trying to expand his musical ability by studying the styles of such artists as George Lynch, Randy Rhodes, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, etc. but also having high admiration for blues players such as BB King and ALL of the funk players from the disco era. Basically an un-schooled player, after learning the nuts and bolts of the guitar for about five years, in the late 80's, Chris studied privately under Recording Artist/Berklee School of Music teacher, Joe Stump (www.JOESTUMP.com) for approx. six months then returning two years later for few more lessons. "Im trying to focus more on song writing and melody." Chris has recently finishing up mixing for his 6 song DEMO titled, "TROUBLE ON THE HORIZON....." a compilation of old and new original instruMENTAL compositions which not only did he record and produce himself but he also wrote, arranged and played all of the instruments. Chris is currently auditioning Bass players, Drummers and Singers to form his long awaited dream, Rock/Funk/Blues/Metal, band, "Every intstrument will have something Major to say in this project." Chris plans to play the Boston scene hard with future goals of touring, pro recording and major record deals.
