Artist History
Oh wow. Here we go. Way back in 7th grade, there was a poetry night contest and grand old South middle school. Jake, being the annoying kid he is, hounded chris to play Adam's song by Blink 182 at this notorious event. But by the time the first lineup was brought together, poetry night had come and gone. boohoo. but the talent show was coming up, and with it the perfect time to unveil our hidden 13 year old talents. So "the Pinhead's" first show went down in history with Jake on bass, chris on drums, eric and tom krall on guitar, and kenny jackson on the mike preforming my own worst enemy by Lit. Calling it horrible was a compliment. Shortly after, TK and Kenny Jackson left the band. The Pinheads were now a 3 member band. The 3 practiced almost everyday that summer, learning covers and writing a few 4 chord wonder songs. Then oneday after a grape eating contest, it was decided the name Pinheads had to go. It was replaced with an even gayer name, Punksher. The kids kept at it, playing one outdoor show on a windy cold day in November for about 10 people. Soon enough, punksher came across a big boy named brett. He was added as Punksher's 2nd guitarist, and helped Jake with the singing duties. Brett taught the boys how to work things-he was a scheduling god. he taught the band about the local scene, how to plan shows, and how to make a good name for yourself.Brett even came up with name Rustic Drive, after the street Chris lives on, where we jam. But Bretts stint was short lived, and he left the band on good terms, and soon after moved to Florida. So once again, Rustic Drive was down to 3 members. And by the end of the 2001 school year,we began looking for a singer to replace jake's less than average voice. This is when Chris's brother's best friend Ryan returned from college. Ryan is an amazing singer, and being the extremly nice guy he is, agreed to write us a few songs. but he kept writing and writing. now whenever he gets home, he comes over chris's and we jam. it is fun. i think thats it. i love you. |
