Artist History
Two piece Hardcore/Noise/Grind band formed in December 1988. In early 1989 they have released the higly aclaimed demos "Paranóia" ("Paranoia") and "Manicómio" ("Madhouse"), in portuguese language. Soon they became a cult band in Portugal, specially in the city of Caldas da Rainha. By the midlle of the year they started singing in english and have recorded the third demo, "Through the gates of Hell", wich was not released. In early 1990, before they split, Paranóia recorded the promo-track "Thrash!", also unreleased. In early 2002 the band have released the double CD-R compilation "13 Anos Depois - Ataques de Loucura e Paranóia" ("13 Years Later- Strokes of Madness and Paranoia"). The CD includes the released and unreleased demos, rehearsals and lots of rare material. The two songs featured on this page ("Dores de Parto"-Pains of Birth" and "Cadeira Eléctrica" - "Electric Chair") were taken from the demo "Manicómio". Recently Dave Mille became a solo musician, with Dave Mille Hardcore/Noise Project, wich is in stand by. Later this year Paranóia intend to release their new demo-CD, probably titled "Esquizofrénico" ("Schizophrenic"). More than a band, Paranoia is a family. The two members were born in 1970 and became friends 4 years later! A perfect friendship!
