Artist History
Bigger Than God was started in the late 1980's by Ben Rod and Sammy Chong (both huge Ramones and Plasmatics fans), to peddle there brand of truth-filled sarcassim to the un-informed! Both Ben and Sammy are the principal songwriters .With sammy living, working and performing in San Francisco(Leather pills, The Robber Barons, owner/operates DesolatonSF recording studio)and the rest of the band in houston, tx.(Eric Burns Plays in The Cured and is a hotshot guitatist around town, and Ben Rod Performs in Ozzmosis, THE ozzie tribute band as well as hammin' it up around town!) the band has continued to write, record and perform on a somewhat exaggeratedly irregular basis. BTG has two very independent recordings: "You Believed It All"(1995,free-Holy Records!;full-length),"Poison Bongwater for Breakfast and the Pizza's in the Male"(1999,Dispatch Worldwide Recordings/Free-Holy Records!;full-length). |
