Artist description Tom Daily has been a familiar face around the Chicago rock scene for many years. In the early 90's he was a singer/songwriter/guitar player for the pop-punk bands Not Rebecca and the Prescriptions, then he went on to play guitar and sing back-up vocals for Chicago's Smoking Popes. Tom played with the Popes for about a year until their demise in 1998. Since he set out on his own Tom has released two full length CDs on Thick Records an a CDEP on Double Zero. He has also been playing shows around the Midwest with his band "the Volunteers" supporting acts such as The Promise Ring, Jets to Brazil, Ultimate Fakebook, Duvall, Grant Hart, and Mike Watt. On his self produced records, Tom churns out hook driven indie pop. With such influences as Superchunk and Guided By Voices he delivers sincere songs that never stray too far from the point.
