Artist History
The band glu has been around for about four and a half years. Playing mostly the kingsville and Corpus Christi area for the first two years. After a few member changes and small style changes they came up with a more solid line up in the fall of 2000, right before heading out on a self booked tour around the country. They headed through about 14 states from Texas to Tennessee to California, and all in between. Throughout that tour, and the time after it, many things changed. The band began to solidify in membership and in sound, and the show got better and better. Now, about four and a half years down the road from their beginnings in Kingsville, it's almost a different band. Still rocking it with the horns, glu is influenced by many genres, including rock, indie, new wave, punk, and ska. They are known for an insanely energetic live show and a powerful sound. They are touring more these days, but can often be caught playing in the San Antonio and Austin areas. |
