    Artist History
Chris got a bass. wrote a a song called "Bubble Gum Punk Song" and he liked it, alot... 4 years later he went to a show with Duckies Dilemma, Mulligan Men, and the HIghsiders, and after seeing the response that pop/punk and punk music got, he thought "hey i could do that" so with his one song from 4 years ealier, and alot of pent up rage from ex girlfriends, chris was locked - loaded and ready to go... he wrote and worte waiting to find players that had the same taste, hooked up with a drummer Robbie and wrote away, waiting to find a bassist and guitarist, he found greg a guitar player with much talent, and he use to be a drummer hmmm.... then he met a guy named Mo, after hearing his song from a past project called Fabulous Box Lunch he was sold and knew he had the right sense of humor and ability that chris needed to help push the band foward.... upon the audition of Mo; the drummer Robbie flaked out on him for the last time, so he was let go so he can concintrate on his other projects.... chris needed someone full time, so the three looked for a drummer... chris, mo and greg auditioned one guy, one horrible guy so bad that greg felt like getting behind the drum set again, and when he did it was magic!! Mo and Chris were surprized to find that they had already had a drummer in the the band, but he was wasting time playing the guitar!!!! after alot of laughs and convincing greg to take one for the team chris had his drummer in Greg.... these three prepared knowing that any minute a guitarist would come along and then bam! mo's buddy from back home (minn) heard us practice once and offered his services... then there was 4.... after practicing a couple of months as a full 4 piece they took to the stage booking 5 shows in one months time plus a house party to boot.... so 6 performances later and a positive response from everyone things went alittle weird..... in one weeks time chris had bought a new P.A. had greg quit to persue the guitar playing again, get all the bands stickers and have to turn down shows.... turn down shows???? chris mo and steve are hurting units, after a great start, a great review from the "seattle sinner" they had lost their drummer and now have to turn down shows to this day... so after re-recording tunes from old practice takes this is where they are now; looking for a drummer....... to be continued (when we find a drummer of course duh!!! didn't i mention we needed a drummer???)

Dyslexic 33 review from The Seattle Sinner Volume 1 Issue 11 Local Distortion page 18 by Chuck Foster ------------------------- --Punk Rock Alliance-- Imagine being a thoughtless fly, zooming through out the darkness with little thought of what you`re doing or where you`re going. Then the sound of conversation wakes your sense; followed by the scent of drink and the feel of electricity you decide to home in. As you fly closer to see what`s going on, you discover the jackpot, people, food, and drink, then you`re dazed by one mighty blow that knocks you to the ground and leaves you helpless on the floor. Hypnotized, paralyzed, and a little damaged is exactly the way I felt after stumbling into Industrial Coffee last month to catch ``All Things Punk.`` Unfortunately for all that visited, All Things Punk was Industrial`s last show before it closed. The event was organized by ``Punk Rock Alliance,`` a new comer to the Seattle Music scene; at least to The Sinner that is. This electrifying show consisted of three groups, The Johnbenders, Dyslexic 33, and closer, Short Fuse. We stumbled across Dyslexic 33 a couple of months ago down at Industrial, where we were invited back to catch their next show with this new punk line up. With anticipation pumping through my veins like a deadly virus, this is the one show I was looking forward to all month. Dyslexic 33 alone easily satisfies the punk lover on any occasion, but on this night they were complimented with a line up that could sell out any venue in town, given the chance that is. The Johnbenders took the stage first, which we missed part of from running late as usual, but caught enough of this band to put us in the mood for a night of endless punk. We were more than disappointed to have missed the first half of their set, but at least is achieved the goal of what any punk show is expected to bring, a natural high off of rebellious music. Following The Benders, were the fast riffs of Dyslexic 33. Myself, being a fan of the pop-punk sound like Green Day and Sum 41, could have watched these guys all night. Full of comical sarcasm, witty lyrics and sheer energy, Dyslexic 33 performs better than many bands you`ll find at any all day gigs like Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, or Endfest. Lead singer, Chris Hoernlein, takes live performance to another level as he entertains the crowd during sets, as well as in-between. The night could of ended with Dyslexic 33, and I`m sure everyone there, including The Nevvers who were there supporting the scene, would have been more than satisfied, but it wasn`t over yet. The closer for the night, Short Fuse, produced enough ``knock down, fuel injected, blood infused punk rock`` to kill the re-runs of songs on the radio that lingered in our heads from the drive to G-town. They finished the night off with some kind of blind perfection that felt like fitting the last piece of a puzzle into place that didn`t come with the right picture on the box. A group full of energy and excitement, and definitely one that has a short fuse attached to a bomb of punk rock.
