Artist History
The origin of Konsöl starts somewhere on a rocky platform next to what could only be the most poluted river in New England. Matt and Ed would toy around with the idea of an industrial project of the sorts while smoking cheap Merets after a long night of heavy drinking, no doubt. For some years previous, Ed was already programming video game soundtracks and learning the fine art of mixing, Eventually they up and decided it was time to pull their 'talents' together and come up with some tracks. They finally decided on the name Dealer (after a strange encounter with, well, a crack dealer).. In the end, Dealer made only four tracks and fizzled out to nothing.
Later down the line, bassist/programmer Ed, formed Konsöl as a side project while he worked at a tattoo shop the next town over. Although the tracks were solid synth pop, they were missing something, maybe it was angst.. maybe it was guitar, it could even have been a singer. Tony, Ed's cousin, joined to fill in the guitar section. Matt joined later on as the vocalist.
