Artist History Since the tender age of 3, Christian Davis has sung and performed for audiences. Now with the release of his debut CD Aiming for the Heart, this 19 year old Jacksonville native is quickly moving towards his ultimate goal. "I want the music that comes right from my heart to be heard by young people, people my age. I hope they'll make a strong connection with it," he says. Christian, who admires groups like Backstreet Boys and 'N-Sync, is hoping his music conveys a positive message to his young fans. "I'd like to think that my music will deliver the same kind of intimate experience as theirs does, but also give the people who listen a message that it's cool to be positive." Christian began performing on stage in church and later toured with his father, who has been a successful performer touring the country with his anti-drug, anti-violence show: "While my music is straight forward pop, I've always respected the message in my dad's music. Parents have the strongest influence on their kids," says Christian. Discovered and nurtured by Teddy Castellucci and Tom Mgrdichian of Lunchtime Productions when he was just 13, the two "T" guys have been planning to launch Christian's career when they felt he would be truly ready. Their recent successes include writing and producing the music for Adam Sandler's movie hits The Wedding Singer and Big Daddy. They hooked up with Babylon Records' President Dennis Lambert - who has written hit songs including "Nightshift," "Ain't No Woman," "Don't Look Any Further," and "We Built This City." Lambert put Christian in the studio early in 1999 and the result is the debut CD Aiming for the Heart - due to be released early in 2000. The first single from the album is "Safe in the Arms of Love" - which was released in September. Christian has made a number of successful performances including two major fundraising events for the Save the Children Fund - where he played before celebrities including Miramax chief Harvey Weinstein, rocker John Mellencamp, supermodels Vendela and Elaine Irwin and style guru Martha Stewart. Together with his Rottweiler puppy "Chrissie," Christian lives in Jacksonville and is happiest kicking a football with friends or cruising in his pick-up truck.
