Artist description
Call Me Captain began as a side-project for singer/guitarist Nathanael Hubbard and drummer Scott Maynard, who were feeling discontent with their full-time band Edge of Seven.
The pair soon recruited old-time friend and bassist Jeremy Walker, who had previously played gigs with them in 1999, at venues including Concert Hall, Festival Hall, and the Queensland Music Expo held at the RNA Showgrounds. These experiences stood them in good stead for what was to come. Two years later, Call Me Captain are bursting into the Brisbane music scene with intensity and charisma.
The dynamic writing team of Nathanael and Scott delivers a unique sounding set of simple yet powerful tunes that can ignite any audience. Their live show is an energetic performance of explosive modern rock that is set to blast the local music scene unlike any other band to date.
There is no doubt that these emerging youngsters from Brisbane will hit you head-on with their solid rock riffs and pressurized stage performance, serving up exciting new music with a professional attitude. A much needed change for Brisbane, and for music everywhere.
