Artist History Volley began about a year after I formed a band with my old college roommate (Reg). I won a bowling bet with a drinking buddy (Trevor) and met a friend of a friend (Heather) at a Yo La Tengo show in Hoboken. On paper, it was a Gen X marketing group's dream: three songwriters and an affable drummer, each with their own personalities, balanced in gender and ethnicity. We could've been bigger than the Beatles, instead J voted himself out, and soon after it was just another NYC indie rock band. Where are they now? Trevor and Reg play together as part of Skycam, J and Reg still play as a duo, Twin Keys, J plays bass for avant-rockers Alger Hiss, and Heather plays bass in Double Agent Girlfriend.
