Artist History Tony Harmon's gift for music was apparent very early on. At the age of nine Tony heard a recording of the legendary Andres Segovia and he was captured for life by the simple and pure beauty that he heard. With a guitar that his parents purchased for him, Tony began his life long relationship with this instrument. Tony would eventually study under some of the world'smost reknown guitarist's: Patrick Read, Miguel Rubio,George Sakellariou, Oscar Ghiglia, Ray Reussner and at the age of seventeen with Christopher Parkening. At fourteen, Tony gave his first public performance at Loma Linda University Riverside, CA, before an audience of 2500 people. Since then, Tony has toured the California Historic Missions as a concert guitarist, performed as a soloist at the Conservatory of Music, San Francisco, given a command performance for the President and Mrs. Reagan at their Santa Ynez ranch, and has received the "Outstanding Instrumentalist"award from Gavilan College.Tony composed and performed the musical soundtrack for televisions "The William Randolf Hearst Story" and has been featured on PBS and CBS affiliate KCOY TV.Tony has recently recorded a CD to benefit the Historic Missions of California which, was recorded live at the Mission La Purisima State Historic Park and is available at most mission gift shops. Tony is presently performing and just finished his second recording "The Romantic Guitar" with fellow legendary guitarist Ray Pannell--featured on the "Tonight Show"w/Johnny Carson. Tony continues to composefor film and is very active composing for the instrument...
