Artist History
Formed in the spring of 1996, The Embellishment began simply an acoustic duo, with Ben Shaw playing guitar and singing and Chris Ramey on accompanying guitar and background vocals. Then along came Jason Craft to add layers of piano and organ intertwining through it all. In 1997,the foundation was put into placeby the drumming and percussion of Chris Moore, and finally the bass playing of Adam Strom and the percussion of Karl Christenson solidified the project in 1998. All throughout this time, the band was Eau Claire, Wisconsin's best-kept secret. Then this past April, the genie was finally let out of the bottle for all the world to see, hear and feel - the band's debut album, "Up Through the Concrete", was released. |
