    Artist description
The Claymores are a three-piece band out of Austin, Texas. The Songs are melodic but simple. Mostly, they are about beer and fishing. Intersections abound in the structures of the songs. From Highways to dirt roads, many of these songs are of the travlin' kind. Produced by Peter Stiles of the Meat purveyors, these songs have a uniquely authentic and honest sound. The band has two goals-longevity and making good music. Both have come easy to these fellas.

    Artist History
Formed in 1997, these three have explored their roots and found a unique sound among them. Sean, the punk-rock drummer, Mike-the metal-head bassist and Gregg-the willie-worshipping singer/songwriter somehow managed not to kill each other when their musical styles collided. Gaining fast recognition in the Austin area, this little group is making noise with thier self titled debut "The Claymores"

    Press Reviews
"This Texas trio build a fine debut out of twangy rockers, country laments, and folky ballads. Singer Greg Yows occasionaly brings to mind Dave Alvin (and there's nothing wrong with that). The Meat Purveyors' Pete Stiles produced and played mandolin while the Gourds' Claude Bernard chips in some accordion." -Miles of Music
