Artist History No cock-rock posing, posturing or prancing around. No leather pants or sparkly outfits. No tattoos, nose rings or outrageous haircuts. No attitude and no neatly packaged, marketable "image". Just a bunch of regular guys who love music, love to play music and love to write songs. Pope Factory truly believes that nobody cares if they like porn, smoke weed or what kind of underwear they prefer; that the substance of their music takes precedence over style or image.Pope Factory started out three years ago playing for fun; they wrote music that they liked and played it the way they wanted to without regard for trends or even whether or not they would ever get a live gig. Along the way, they developed a rabid following and found that they could carve their own niche among music fans who appreciated their unique sound and non-conformist approach to music. They revel in the fact that they cannot be pinned down to a genre and that there is no definable Pope Factory "sound". Pope Factory demands to be accepted on their own terms and so does their music. Every band that comes along says that they don’t sound like anything else out there. Nobody likes to be stamped as a specific style yet the nature of the music business demands it.
