Artist History
Started composing c. 1978, but only got into
serious electronic media and attempting to fuse
synthetic and trad forms in about 1983/4. Well
received early collections, especially "Monsters
from the Id" (1989). In 1993 I released the album
"Deconstruction", a collection which is now
regarded in some circles as launching the
so-called "synthetic folk" genre.It's a
collection of tunes that I'm still proud of.
More recently, I've been teaming up with internet
friends to generate music with far-distant
collaborators. Have just finished writing a series of
sketches of web-radio pirates, not to mention a
distressing number of tin-whistle duets for
folk-musician friends of mine. |
