    Artist History
Formed out of necessity, M.A.C. has been a lifelong vision of Mike Lars, the founding member of this thunderous quartet. Pain is the touchstone to growth and M.A.C. is no stranger to the often brutal hardships that life yields. Each member of the revolution called M.A.C. has seen it's hardships eigther through race, religion or the streets. The band suffered a particularly rough blow with the death of the original singer Sean Dolan, brother of Mike Lars in 1995. The band regrouped at that time and walked away from the tragedy not unscarred, yet undeterred in their dream. Since 1995 M.A.C. has taken the top rank in the Arizona and Seattle music scenes, playing with the likes of Korn, The Deftones, DIO, Corrosion Of Conformity, Clutch, The Melvins, Machine Head, D.R.I., Fight, Sacred, Reich, Testament, Merciful Fate, Cannible Corps, Flotsom and Jetsam, Neurotic Boy Outsider and many others. In 1996 M.A.C.'s debut CD entitled 'The Official Soundtrack Of The Second American Revolution' was released and continues to be in the top 10 Arizona artists selling in Tucson record stores and in full rotation on Tucson's rock radio station KLPX. In 1997 M.A.C. won the 'Battle of the Bands' of Arizona and also won the 'Best Metal Band' award at the Tammie Music Awards of Arizona. In 1998 M.A.C. worked for Kevin Costner on the Warner Brothers film 'The Postman', writing, producing, and recording the song 'General Bethlehem', for the movie soundtrack. In 1999 M.A.C.'s interactive CD entitiled 'Millennium Ready' is released and available in Sam Goody's and Wherehouse Records, this newest album contains the bands first video 'Confirm the Kill' in CD rom format.

    Press Reviews
Metal Maniacs-December 1997FIRING SQUAD demo reviews: the best of the unsigned-by Marco BarbieriHello once again, dominions of the underground, and thanks for reading the Firing Squad. Sometimes I feel likethis section of Metal Maniacs if not frequented as often other columns but this is the opportunity to get turned onto new bands. This is the place where it can all begin for both readers and bands because some of these actsmay eventually wind up getting a full feature within these same very pages. It is my job to try to inform you ofsome of the potential contenders, and, of course, try to turn you on to new noteworthy artists. So let's begin... The first act on the chopping block actually comes out storming on its debut demo. Thick bottom-heavyrhythmic grooves spiced up with down tuned meaty guitars is the recipe that [Tucson, Arizona] M.A.C.(Madness Action and Cause) cooks with and it's effective in getting the ol' blood temperature rising. Working itfor the last four years, these guys have persevered through the ups and downs and come up with a pretty brutalslab of modern aggression showcasing their merit.
