Artist description
LSDT is an original, alternative rock band, based out of New Brunswick, New Jersey. Formed in 1996 with a former contingency of the defunct New York City band, Jive Bible, they began their steadfast rise opening for Glen Burtnick of Styx in New Brunswick. Many will recognize the band's former name of Bleached. Since that first performance, they have quickly made a name for themselves in the Tri-State area. This can be attributed to their massive and great-sounding song collection, and entertaining live shows. |

Artist History
Where they're from--Benwa and Duke started playing together in 1993 as half of the alternative rock band Jive Bible, enjoying relative success while signed to the NYC independent record label Kokopop/Shimmydisc.D. E. Daily, honing his skills during acoustic guitar performances on the streets and in clubs of NYC, joined Duke and Benwa in 1996 as frontman of LSDT's prior incarnation, New Brunswick-based Bleached. After weeding through a succession of drummers that just didn't click, Bleached met Turner Brown. Turner officially joined the crew during the summer of 1998, prompting a change in name to LSDT and solidifying the band's final lineup. Where they've been--- As Bleached, D. E., Duke and Benwa recorded a full-length CD, Superstar, a straight forward alternative/ pop rock LP, in March of 1997. After The Arrival of Turner, LSDT recorded their first release, Medicine Man, during the winter of 1998. The 11-track CD contained an extremely diverse collection of songs, revealing the band's lack of fear in experimenting with various genres. LSDT's latest CD, Digging Her Sin, brings the band full circle. The 16-track CD embraces the band's pop/rock roots without sacrificing the band's diverse songwriting abilities. Digging Her Sin consistently entertains with music that refuses to bind itself to current trends. The CD was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by LSDT (their first entirely independent effort) in Benwa's apartment during the winter of 2000/2001, and contains nothing but insightful, energetic tracks. Benwa and D. E. explore a number of topics ranging from plane crashes to inter-office love affairs to parental potheads to the catholic church. With Duke and Turner laying down the spine, Digging Her Sin keeps the mind and body moving. Where they're going --- LSDT's prolific songwriting abilities have lead to a current catalogue of 80+ plus songs. Because of the number of original songs the band has, LSDT often plays 3 to 4 hours a night, a privilege normally reserved for cover bands. Even with such an extensive set list and three CD's under their collective belts, they're not stopping -- not even close. Immediately upon completion of Digging Her Sin, the band began getting the tracks together for their next CD. Why so soon with the next project?...because the music, the live shows, the recordings – it's in their blood, they can't help it. |
