Press Reviews
BASS-AND-DRUM DUO PLAY ON ...............................................................................................
"Establishing a following for a residency at the Middle East's Corner is a challenge, especially in the dead zone of a Tuesday night. But this Tuesday's full room of hooting, cheering, young hipsters has been the norm for most of Gonzalo Silva's residency here, and there have been summer nights when the lines have stretched out the door...Silva and his partner, drummer Jason Gardner, have created a style of contemporary pop based in part on simple, personal lyrics...The fans, many of whom have followed Silva from the subway and Harvard Square, know all the lyrics, and respond with screaming appreciation".................................Boston Herald......
"This is the last time (we mean it, man) that you will be warned. If u don't check out ace tunesmith Gonzalo Silva and his fancy little ensemble at the Middle East Corner tonite, your life will be nothing but a soulless stumbling towards oblivion. They're that good. Really.".............................................City Shopper
"Silva has his own songs that he performs live, some that are well known and often requested by audience members.".......................David Wildman, Boston Globe |
