Artist description
Richard Marshall is the man behind blueshift, writing light pop ballads that try to be melodic and interesting. The songs are honest expressions. We are not trying to get into the pop charts but believe there are people out there that will enjoy the music. |

Artist History
I (Richard Marshall) have been writing songs and filling up four-track tape for over 14 years (gulp!). I finally made the move form doodling to putting a CD together a year ago. I play most of the instruments but am primarily a guitarist. Gareth Huw Davies played a major part in putting the songs together. Gaz is a professional Bass player (and a damn good one too) and all-round music wizard. He is responsible for much of the production, the bass playing and some additional instruments here and there. We met 11 years ago and both are dedicated to writing music without pandering to the bloated money making machine that is the modern pop music business. Unfortunately, a philosophy of pandering to the whims of 11 year old school kids has meant much of the real music being released today doesn't reach our ears. I guess that's why we're here at mp3. (apologies for the rant). I hope you enjoy the tracks. I am currently writing for a second CD I hope to release early next year. I won't be giving up the day job. Richard |
