Artist description
We are a three piece who record little songs at home when it strikes our fancy. Our songs are usually personal ditties written to each other. In some cases we cover songs that mean a lot to us. |

Minimalist lo-fi folk/pop with a bit of fuzzy weirdness |

Syd Barrett, early Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, Sparklehorse, Eric's Trip, Elevator to Hell, The Strokes, Type O Negative |

Artist History
The Skizzocarps began in August 2001, when Holly and I (Victor) decided to start recording a few songs we had written. This resulted in a small "EP" entitled "A Murder Of Crows" which we gave to our friends in extremely limited numbers. During our winter semester at MUN, Holly and I wrote and recorded "Hues of Twilight" in my basement apartment. Shortly after returning home in April 2002, our good friend Harry became the Skizzocarp's drummer and Holly picked up the bass. These changes breathed life into our old songs and inspired us to write some new ones. By the end of the summer, we had enough material to make a full-band "LP" which we called "Belligerent & Numerous." Some songs from this, our latest effort, should be available over the next few week |
