Press Reviews
In Peterborough Metal had been pushed aside to make way for the mass injection of youth crew/emo style hardcore, it was time to make a stand and once again re-establish Metalcore as the true style of UKHC (United Kingdom Hardcore). Formed from the ashes of various successful local acts in February 2001 Eviscerate AD (Formally just Eviscerate) was born, and now they welcome on board there new drummer, Denis, from Anthem of the Century/Silencer7 fame… Eviscerate AD play a brutal blend of Tough Guy Hardcore mixed with savage style European Death Metal. After a series of excellent national shows, Eviscerate AD were quick to establish themselves, as a force to be reckoned with. The well received first demo MCD entitled ‘Man Made Evil’ was recorded around May 2001. With a limited pressing and with international distribution it was soon out of stock. However, Bloodstorm Recordings who released the record, folded soon after and plans for a re-print were scrapped. In spite of this, Eviscerate AD embarked on a UK tour, supporting their MCD with established UKHC pioneers Underule. Eviscerate AD have also played alongside the likes of Extreme Noise Terror, Knuckledust, Decimate, 100 Reasons, Defenestration, Burden (from Canada) and many more. Eviscerate AD were also freatured on the the cover-mounted CD of the May 2001 edition of Terrorizer magazine. With plans to release a four way split CD entitled ‘Escalating Unholy War’ within coming months with UKHC stalwarts FREEBASE and with plans to tour the UK again in the summer. Eviscerate AD are intent on establishing themselves nationally (… and internationally?) by playing when and where ever possible at a drop of a hat. What the future holds cannot be foreseen and due to the demise of Bloodstorm Recordings, Eviscerate AD are currently on the lookout for a label to help with the release of their next recordings. Promoters interested in helping them get shows and possible reviews/interviews in magazines/fanzines are needed and very much welcomed. So if you are interested then please don’t hesitate to contact the band. Band contact: xgrimlockx@hotmail.com or xdanx_uk@yahoo.co.uk |
