Artist History I cut my teeth on Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and just about every band in the late '80s that was heavier than New Kids on the Block and softer than Slayer. When Nirvana came out and Kobain made it cool to not be good on your instrument, I quit listening to rock and really started digging Prince and Sting, as well as jazz artists like Miles David, Pat Metheny, and Chick Corea. I never got away from my old rock habits, however, and always eagerly anticipated a new release from Vai or Satch. I hope to experiment more and more with different styles of playing, hoping to one day capture that elusive sound in my head.
