    Artist description
Based out of St-Jean sur Richelieu, just 25 minutes south of Montreal, this band has been playing its own brand of punk rock since November of 1992. Taking influences from punk rock, indie rock and ska bands, Subb has been a mainstay in the Quebec independent music scene. Their first full length release "The highstep to hell" came out in 1997 on Underworld Records and received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike, selling 5 000 copies. Not bad for a first release… In March 2000, Subb released their long awaited follow-up "Until the party ends" on Montreal based Stomp Records. This record depicts a new chapter in the band’s young career as it mixes the raw energy of punk rock with sweet styling of ska and reggae music. The album sold over 10 000 copies across Canada. Now jump to July 2002, when the band's latest album "Daylight saving" came out. Recorded at Le Studio in Morin Heights (The Police, Bryan Adams), Subb kicks it into high gear, and their unique brand of melodic punk is set to rock your world!

    Artist History
The band has been working extremely hard over the last months to support this release, and the video for the single " Twenty one" has been added to rotation on MusiquePlus while MuchMusic, MuchLoud, EdgeTV and MTV Canada has featured the video several times. Subb have also been touring extensively in 2002. After taking part in the MusiquePlus "123 punk" Tour, the band played the Montreal's famous “Ramprage” with punk rock icon Pennywise, along with Big Wig and label-mates Planet Smashers. In August, Subb played several dates in Quebec and Ontario to support their new album "Daylight saving" and also played the Boston, Montreal and Toronto stops of the Vans Warped Tour. In September, they got back on the road, this time for a national tour with label mates Fifty Nutz, playing gigs from Montreal to Vancouver to support "Daylight saving". Future plans for the band? More shows to come in 2003, and more touring in Europe, Japan, USA and Canada. Be sure to set your clocks back… Subb's new album is right on time.
