Artist description
Speshul Effect is an emcee with an unique style and voice to bring together entertaining tracks, whether to be underground or mainstream influenced. His style of rhyming consists of wordplay and some funny ass lyrics thrown in the mix. He also has a more creative style of story telling through his songs that not many have thought of before, and an extensive level of freestyling. He is somewhat new to the game and is currently improving his battling skills and more diverse lyrics. His basic goal is to just have fun with his music, regardless of haters in the way. He always changes up the style to light up any track. He is also not intending to make songs of the typical "battle emcee" with punchlines thrown everywhere (but he'll do it whenever necessary), he's gonna do a song how he wants and whatever it is about to distance himself from other emcees. |

Artist History
Speshul Effect (aka "Redhead") is an emcee from northwest Washington DC, residing in Capitol Heights, Maryland. He has been rhyming for a few years as a hobby until mid-2002 when he started to take hiphop more seriously. With his unique style, voice, and versatile flow, Speshul's main objective is to hold the audience's attention and still keep your head nodding in the process. He's appeared in many open mic spots in the DC area, particularly the "Euphoria" spot with his associates known as the group Hands High. He has appeared on BET on a "Campus Invasion Tour" segment, performed on a local television show in Prince Georges' County MD about emcees breaking into the industry, and has been on stage in front of Howard University's roughly 1100+ student population at a show featuring acts such as Capone-N-Noreaga and Whyte Out from 106 & Park. Speshul Effect also is currently on a mixtape that features 50 Cent, Joe Budden, Freeway, and Royce Da 5'9 among others. Speshul Effect has also hooked up with R&B singer Mya on July 25th, 2003, on an interview made for The Washington Post Magazine, and has made an appearance on WPGC 95.5: Washington DC's #1 radio station for hiphop & R&B. Look out for this emcee in the near future as he continues his road to success. |
