Artist description
"Vessel to Sail" is a truly Canadian pop singer/songwriter record. A touch of The
Guess Who, a bit of Neil Young, some of Leonard Cohenīs introversion, Bryan
Adams edginess; earthy, honest and kicking, but Robīs experience in other genres
and on another continent give his music a fresh and interesting vibe.
In his music thereīs an urgency and clarity from performing for foreign
audiences, an understanding of all aspects of production due to working on his
own.

Artist History
Rob Collomb
began his career as musician in Winnipeg performing Friday nights in the
Bluenote with his high school punk band the Blues Puppies. Being only 17
Rob was emencely inspired by the people he met and jammed with there;
James Cotton, The Crash Test Dummies, Holly McNarlen, David Gogo and Bootsauce compelled Rob to a future n the music business as a songwriter.
Feeling encumbered by his Metis heritage Rob split to Europe with the ideal to
discover himself as an idividual and a writer by erasing his past.
Robīs 7 years in Europe consist of 2 years as a solo entertainer performing in
Irish pubs throughout Germany. 2 years in Berlin playing in jazz and blues bands,
writing for country groups and hooking up with ex-Shuffle Demon guitarist Eric
St.Laurent. Several trips to Spain studying flamenco guitar. Writing,
composing and producing the highly acclaimed dance theater piece "El
Encanto Del Duende". Studying German and Spainish becoming fluent in Ger-
man. Working as guitarist for flamenco groups and latino bands and most im-
portantly, writing loads of songs.
In the year 2000 at the age of 27, Rob decided it was time to return to his roots
and produce his first album.
In the Spring of 2002 Rob signed with Boa Records and returned to Canada
