Artist description Get Wet was a New York based New Wave band which premiered at the legendary Punk palace Max's Kansas City. Their first and only album "Get Wet" is out of print, Boardwalk Records no longer exists, and this MP3 site is the only place this music is available. Studio out-takes and live tracks have never been available before.

Artist History "Get Wet was born when "Cherry Vanilla" (RCA London) pianist Zecca returned from touring Europe and Sherri Beachfront auditioned as a back-up singer for a band he joined in New York. They fell in love and pulled the Cherry Vanilla band back together with Sherri as lead singer and Zecca as songwriter. Lou Reed saw there first gig and promptly asked them to open for him two gigs later. They quickly became the toast of New York and were signed by Neil Bogart to his newly formed Boardwalk Records. Their first single "Just So Lonely" reached #39 in Billboard and Top Ten overseas.
