Artist description
We play whatever the hell we want. We don't have a style, we have a groove. We range from Ska to Death Metal and back again. With as many influences as we do, it would get really old really fast if we played the same style over and over. It works for some bands, just not us. |

Artist History
Current 3 founding members met at a show and turned into a four piece band with a different singer. We didn't like the singer much so we had planned to get another guitarist in the band who was a really great musician and than kick the singer out so we could do our own thing. Before that happened singer quit and took name and lyrics, whoopty doo, who cares. Ben, Nick, and KV stayed a band and got Nevada as a lead guitarist. We had trouble finding a name at first; our first one was Castros Mojo which we thought was funny as hell, but everyone else threw a hissy fit because we were "named after a tyrant." We really weren't..... Castro just sounded cool..... Than we asked the drummers mom (Judy, lovely lady) what our band name should be one practice and she replied with "WHAT??" (she was upstairs at the time..) and we interpretted it as being "Yuck". So, we became Yuck for a little while, all the time secretly despising our own name. Than we decided to change it once more to Fiend. That one has stuck ever since. Nevada unfortunately had to leave the band due to complications in his personal life. He just didn't have enough time. We are all still good friends with him. We have a new member now by the name of Hawkins. Things look promising with this strapping young lad. We can see at each practice how much tighter we have gotten as a band. That's our story. |
